Winners of the election announced by the State Bar of Wisconsin

State Bar of Wisconsin Elects Ryan Billings as President-Elect

Ryan Billings, of Kohner, Mann & Kailas, has been elected as the president-elect of the State Bar of Wisconsin, marking a significant victory for all Wisconsin lawyers. Billings defeated Jennifer Johnson of Milwaukee in the elections, receiving 1,615 votes to Johnson’s 1,376.

Outgoing Board of Governors’ member Nick Zales praised Billings for his dedication, hard work, and integrity in his bar service, stating that he will make a fine bar president. The newly elected officers, including Billings, will take their posts on July 1, 2024.

In addition to Billings, Martina Gast was elected as the secretary, and Margo Kirchner was elected as the Judicial Council representative. Gast defeated William Wallo, while Kirchner defeated Matthew Rowe in their respective elections.

The State Bar of Wisconsin also announced the results of the Board of Governors elections, with various vacancies being filled in different districts across the state. The newly elected members will serve two-year terms beginning on July 1.
