Voters Express Widespread Disapproval of Biden and Trump as Election Intensifies

Nearly Half of Voters Express Desire to Replace Both Biden and Trump on 2024 Ballot

The 2024 presidential election is shaping up to be a contentious one, with about half of voters expressing dissatisfaction with both major party candidates on the ballot. According to a recent Pew Research Center survey, nearly half of registered voters (49%) say that if given the chance, they would replace both President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump on the ballot.

Interestingly, the survey found that Biden’s supporters are more likely to express this sentiment, with roughly six-in-ten (62%) saying they would replace both candidates if they had the opportunity. In comparison, only 35% of Trump supporters share the same view.

Age also played a role in these sentiments, as younger voters were more likely to express a desire to replace both candidates. Sixty-six percent of voters under 30 said they would replace both Biden and Trump if given the chance, compared to 54% of those ages 30 to 49 and 43% of those 50 and older.

As the election approaches, the survey highlights the deep divisions and dissatisfaction among voters with the current choices on the ballot. With the race virtually tied and voters expressing little confidence in either candidate, the 2024 presidential election is sure to be a closely watched and highly contested one.
