The state of Wisconsin is the final state with the authority to prosecute Trump’s fraudulent electors

Video of Fake Electors Meeting in Wisconsin Capitol Emerges

The recent release of a video showcasing the gathering of fake electors in Wisconsin’s state Capitol on Dec. 14, 2020, has sparked renewed interest in the Trump campaign’s alleged scheme to overturn the 2020 presidential election. The video comes on the heels of Arizona becoming the fourth state to bring charges against fake electors involved in the controversial effort.

Wisconsin, along with New Mexico and Pennsylvania, remains under scrutiny as potential targets for prosecution in connection with the fake elector scheme. While officials in New Mexico and Pennsylvania have indicated they are unlikely to pursue charges due to legal technicalities, Wisconsin stands out as a state that may still take action.

The video reveals that ten Wisconsin Republicans falsely claimed to be the state’s duly elected and qualified electors, despite the fact that voters in Wisconsin had chosen Biden by a significant margin. The alleged scheme was rooted in a memo that advocated for a slate of Trump electors to meet and vote for him in case he won the recount in Wisconsin.

Although the 10 fake electors from Wisconsin have not faced criminal charges, two legitimate electors from 2020 filed a lawsuit against them, along with two lawyers involved in the scheme. The case was eventually settled.

In contrast, charges have been filed in Michigan, Nevada, and Georgia, with the Georgia case being the most sweeping and serious, charging 19 individuals, including Trump himself, in a racketeering case. The Arizona grand jury also indicted 18 individuals, including Trump, Meadows, and Giuliani, on charges of conspiracy and forgery.

As the investigation into the fake elector scheme continues to unfold, Wisconsin remains a focal point for potential legal action. The video showing the fake electors meeting in the state Capitol serves as a stark reminder of the efforts to undermine the democratic process and the ongoing quest for accountability in the aftermath of the 2020 election.
