Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb Files Signatures for Arizona Senate Race

Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb has officially filed his signatures to qualify for the Arizona Republican primary ballot for a competitive United States Senate seat. Lamb, who is known for his tough stance on border security, expressed his excitement at the opportunity to represent not just Republicans, but all Arizonans.

“I’m the only candidate that’s beaten Democrats, and I’m looking forward to actually representing not just Republicans. As a sheriff, I’ve represented Republicans, Democrats, and Independents,” Lamb said outside the Executive Tower in Phoenix.

Lamb obtained over 13,000 signatures, well above the required minimum of 7,072, showcasing strong support for his candidacy. However, he faces tough competition from Kari Lake, who is leading in the polls with 54% compared to Lamb’s 21%.

Despite running against each other now, Lamb was supportive of Lake during her gubernatorial bid, highlighting a sense of camaraderie within the Republican party. His major focus as a candidate has been on addressing the border crisis, an issue that directly impacts Pinal County.

On the Democratic side, Congressman Ruben Gallego is the only major candidate in the race, setting the stage for a potentially contentious general election. Independent Sen. Kyrsten Sinema’s announcement that she will not seek re-election has further shifted the dynamics of the race.

With the Arizona Senate race heating up, all eyes are on the candidates as they campaign to secure their spot on the ballot and ultimately win the seat in November.
