Investigator testifies that Trump is an unindicted co-conspirator in 2020 Michigan fake electors probe

Former President Trump implicated in Michigan election probe: Investigator

Former President Donald Trump has been named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the Michigan attorney general’s probe into the attempts to overturn the 2020 election in the state. The revelation came during a pretrial hearing in Lansing for some of Michigan’s fake electors, who have been charged by Attorney General Dana Nessel in her investigation.

The list of unindicted co-conspirators also includes ex-Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani, former Trump White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, and former Trump campaign lawyer Jenna Ellis. While Trump, Giuliani, Meadows, and Ellis are not facing charges in Michigan, they were all indicted in Georgia’s 2020 election interference case.

Special agent Howard Shock, one of the lead investigators in Nessel’s probe, confirmed in court that Trump, Meadows, Giuliani, and Ellis are co-conspirators in the case. The investigation has focused on the actions of the individual fake electors, who were charged with felonies last summer, but there are indications that prosecutors are looking at the broader Trump-backed attempts to overturn the election results in Michigan.

State prosecutors in Michigan, Georgia, and Nevada have charged some of the fake electors in their states, while investigations are ongoing in Arizona and Wisconsin. Prosecutors in New Mexico and Pennsylvania have declined to bring charges.

The news of Trump’s involvement as an unindicted co-conspirator has sparked controversy and raised questions about the extent of his role in the attempts to subvert the 2020 election. The investigation is ongoing, and more details are expected to emerge as the case progresses.
