Conservative Political Action Committees Witness Success of Pennsylvania Vote-By-Mail Campaign

Conservative Groups’ Campaign to Target Reluctant Republicans for Vote-by-Mail Gains Traction, Expands to Key Swing States

Conservative groups are making a significant investment in battleground states to target traditionally reluctant Republicans and encourage them to vote by mail. The initiative, led by three conservative groups, is already showing promising results in Pennsylvania and is set to expand to two other states with pivotal Senate races.

The Sentinel Action Fund, Republican State Leadership Committee PAC, and Keystone Renewal PAC announced a historic investment to use voting by mail to help Republicans win in November. The effort is focused on reaching low-propensity voters who infrequently participate in elections, particularly Republicans who have only voted once or twice in the last four election cycles.

The Keystone Renewal PAC has already spent over $580,000 backing former hedge fund CEO David McCormick in Pennsylvania, while also opposing incumbent Democrat Sen. Bob Casey. Both McCormick and Casey won their respective party primaries last week, setting up a high-stakes race that could determine control of the Senate.

The get-out-the-vote campaign has already brought in 40,000 low-propensity Republican voters in Pennsylvania, with a total of 236,000 Republican voters requesting absentee ballots for the primary. The effort includes multiple rounds of mailers, digital ads, and door-to-door outreach to educate voters on the importance of absentee voting.

The goal is to secure a landslide victory that is “too big to rig,” echoing former President Donald Trump’s strategy of courting unlikely voters in the 2016 election. The focus is on engaging every possible voter and using existing rules to win elections.

The campaign is also expanding to Ohio and Montana, states with closely contested Senate races that could shift the balance of power in the Senate. An eight- to nine-figure GOTV campaign is planned for Ohio, with a six- to seven-figure effort in Montana.

Overall, the conservative movement is at a critical inflection point, and the success of these efforts could have a significant impact on the outcome of the upcoming elections.
